Spoiling myself on Christmas eve

I've been trying to lose some weight, meaning avoiding morning snacks.  But what with the holiday and all, today on the way in I picked up a couple of vanilla-iced crullers.  To go with them, fresh brewed some Mexican Altura, (adding enough whipping cream and sugar to tint it just slightly darker than a manila folder).

There was supposed to be a picture, but they're all gone.  You'll just have to imagine.

Christmas shopping completed

Final purchases were:  A stuffed toy black cat (actually to be given in early January), and a floor lamp.

I belive that warrants a small Scotch.

In case anybody wonders how things turned out...

We got some snow, then enough rain to melt most of it, then more snow in the wee hours, leaving a 3-inch cover on the pavements.  Could have been worse. (Folks north got 3/8" ice, then more snow.)

The National Weather Service says temps here will be back in the 40s on Wednesday.  Go figure.
