“It’s almost like they have an agenda or something.”

Is it just me, or is it odd that the media’s go-to suspect in these things is always, always on the conservative side of the political spectrum?
No. Next question...?

The (UK) Daily Mail lists drone sites... in the U.S.

There are at least 63 active drone sites around the U.S, federal authorities have been forced to reveal following a landmark Freedom of Information lawsuit.

The unmanned planes – some of which may have been designed to kill terror suspects – are being launched from locations in 20 states...

Certificates of Authorizations (COAs), issued to public entities like police departments, are active in 42 locations, expired in 16 and disapproved in four.
Did’ja know the North Little Rock Arkansas Police Department has a drone registered?  As do the Miami-Dade County cops.  Why, I feel more secure already!

And from the American press?
...crickets...

But can you see THIS?

Charles Hill:

Television news requires visuals whenever possible, and so Norwegian news program Dagsrevyen opened up a story about new research in optical treatment with a suitable graphic.

Althouse finds propaganda displacing objective news coverage, gets confused...

Ann Althouse:

This isn’t serious analysis of what the state did and the real effect on workers.  It’s more of an effort to propagate hysteria.
That’s the whole point.

The New York Times: “...so much more bigoted than it was a generation ago.”

Glenn Reynolds:

I have a comment and a question. Comment: The New York Times would never spread fear, uncertainty and doubt about a Muslim candidate’s religion in this fashion. Question: When George Romney ran in 1968, was the New York Times fretting about his Mormonism?
Some questions really don’t need asking...

FCC Chief Wants To Ease TV Station Cross Ownership With Radio And Newspapers

FCC Chairman Julius Genachowski is prepared to junk federal rules that limit companies from owning TV and radio stations in the same market — and go half way in doing the same for TV stations and newspapers...
"...combining the localism and integrity of Gannett with the... um... localism and integrity of Clear Channel!"
Newspaper and broadcast owners say that mergers are needed to preserve local newsrooms as their companies compete against a massive number of national news competitors on cable TV and the Internet.
...just the way that relaxing the ownership rules in the 90s preserved all those unique radio formats... oh, wait!

Sins of omission, cont’d.

UPDATED

Sipsey Street Irregulars:
The realization of the Gunwalker Plot continues to slowly broaden and deepen in the popular culture, and to the Obama administration it must seem like Chinese water torture as they wince in anticipation of each new revelation.  The one constant that they can cling to, however -- the one solace in an ever darkening gloom -- is the partisan faithfulness of the major network evening news shows, and newspapers such as the New York Times and Pravda on the Potomac, the Washington Post.

As evidence, ladies and gentlemen of the jury of history, I present the undisputed fact that on the evening news shows of NBC, ABC and CBS this week not one -- NOT ONE -- mentioned the unprecedented subpoena by a Congressional committee of information regarding the entire top echelon of the Justice Department in the Gunwalker Scandal.
A working republic requires an informed citizenry.  Which, in today’s world, requires a press that doesn’t shill for one side or the other.  Which we don’t have...

Ed Driscoll:
Say, it’s a good thing the media has Occupy Wall Street to focus on right now to deflect attention not just from this story, but from all of the other high-speed Obamacontinental train wrecks crashing into each other right now, isn’t it?
Investor’s Business Daily:
Over the weekend, Senate Democrats passed a dubious milestone — going 900 days without fulfilling their legal obligation to pass a budget.  Worse is the fact that this gross dereliction of duty has gone largely unnoticed.
Prediction: More news we won’t get:

John E.:
It's helpful to remember just how far this Administration, DoJ and media will go to protect Obama and Holder from [the "fast-n-furious”] story and also how coordinated it all is.

...Forget the United States Border Patrol guys that were killed about these ‘Fast & Furious’ guns.  Real-live, or previously live, citizens of third world countries — the kind of people that NPR [and]The New York Times claim to love — are dead because of this...  Why isn’t that a national scandal?”
Because there’s no scandal when it’s their guys doing it.
