Fourteen relatives fled a Carmel home and called the fire department before a lightning strike could cause major fire damage to their home this morning.Hey editors! Even if that’s a verbatim quote, isn’t it still kind of unsporting to hang it out there in front of God and everybody? (And if it’s a reporter-created interpretation, somebody needs a remedial science course.)
Carmel Fire Marshal Bruce Knott said the loud thunderclap that preceded the strike gave the extended family a head start to flee the house...
